How do I get to Raleigh?
Road trip: Hop on I-95, connect to I-40, and head to Raleigh!
Flying: Land at RDU Airport (about 20–30 minutes from most events).
By train: Ride Amtrak into downtown Raleigh (RGH).
By bus: Greyhound and FlixBus both serve Raleigh.
We'll send venue addresses, parking info, and GPS-friendly directions before the big weekend.
What should I expect during the weekend?
Expect a mix of cookouts, games, music, exploring Raleigh, friendly competition, and plenty of time to relax and catch up with family.
Who's watching the kids?
For everyone's safety and enjoyment, children should remain under the supervision of a parent or designated guardian during all weekend activities. Please don't assume another guest is available to watch your child unless you've made plans with them beforehand.

Where should I stay?
We'll share our recommended hotels and nearby lodging options on the website. You're welcome to stay wherever works best for you.
What should I bring?
Pack comfortable clothes, walking shoes, sunscreen, a swimsuit, and your best game face!

I have food allergies or dietary restrictions. What should I do?
No worries! Just let us know when you register. We'll do our best to accommodate common dietary needs and label foods when possible. If you have a severe allergy, we recommend bringing any specialty items you know are safe for you.
Can I invite someone?
Absolutely! Family Fun Weekend is for biological family, chosen family, and the people we consider family. If they're coming, just make sure they're registered! Registration helps us plan meals, activities, T-shirts, goodie bags, and everything else that makes the weekend special.
What's included with registration?
Registration helps cover weekend activities, goodie bags, event supplies, and other Family Fun Weekend experiences. Specific inclusions will be listed on the registration page.
What if it rains or it's too hot?
Rain or shine, the fun goes on! August in Raleigh can be hot, so we've planned ahead with air-conditioned venues, shaded tents, and indoor spaces throughout the weekend. Our picnic location includes an air-conditioned building if you need to cool off, and we'll have plenty of shade outdoors. If Mother Nature has other plans, we have indoor backup options and alternative activities ready to go.
Do I have to pay online?
Online payment is the easiest way to reserve your spot, but we know it isn't convenient for everyone. If you'd prefer to pay in cash at the event, contact the planning committee before registering. We'll provide a registration code that lets you complete your registration without paying online. Your registration won't be considered complete until payment is received.
What if someone cannot attend?
They should choose the yearbook-only path and provide name, age, open-ended memories, and photo uploads without shirt, allergy, meal, or payment steps.
